Winifred und Wahnfried

Das Projekt „Winifred und Wahnfried“ setzt sich mit Winifreds Geschichte im Haus Wahnfried auseinander. Angefangen beim Bau der Villa Wahnfried, über die Zeit des Zweiten Weltkrieges bis heute. Der Fokus liegt vor allem auf der Zeit, in der Winifred Wagner Bewohnerin des Hauses war. Welche Gäste empfing Winifred? Was passierte nach dem Bombeneinschlag? Und wie ging es nach Winifreds Tod mit Wahnfried weiter?

Im Rahmen der Ausstellung „Rifts and Scratches“ war dieses Projekt als eine Wandinstallation zu sehen. Es wurde als digitale Variante ausgearbeitet, um es auch in kleineren Umgebungen zeigen zu können.

„Winifred und Wahnfried“ is a project that shows the relationship between Winifred Wagner and the building „Villa Wahnfried“. It‘s a timeline that starts with the construction of the building, continues with the time of Worldwar II. and ends in the present. The focus rests on the time of Winifred as an occupant of the Villa Wahnfried. A set of questions that should be answered are: Which guests did Winifred invite to Wahnfried? What happend after the bomb attack? And what happened with the building after Winifreds death?

In the context of the exhibition „rifts and scratches“ this project was displayed as a wall installation. Because of the size of the wall installation the project was digitalized afterwards, so you could also show it in much smaller environments.
