Der Wagner-Komplex

Richard Wagners Wohnhaus, der Wahnfried, erzählt eine spannende Geschichte. Innerhalb von drei Jahrhunderten befand sich das Grundstück rund um Richard Wagners Villa im ständigen Wandel und wuchs noch im 21. Jahrhundert. Mein Architekturmodell bot einen Einblick in die Entstehung des Areals rund um die Villa Wahnfried und erklärt diese mit-hilfe eines Farbcodes, der mit der Timeline den zeitlichen und geschichtlichen Kontext herstellt. Die Informationsgrafik diente dazu, dem Museumsbesucher die wichtigsten Informationen über das Gestern und Heute des Komplexes verständlich zu machen, ohne eine große Führung durch alle Gebäude nehmen zu müssen.

Wahnfried was the residence of Richard Wagner and it has an exciting story to tell. Within three centuries the area surrounding this building changed constantly and even kept on growing in the 21st century. My architectural model should offer an insight into the formation and the changes Wahnfried went through. The observer was able to link the parts of the model to the information from the timeline with help of a color code. The interaction between timeline and model explained the chronological and historical background of the architecture. My infographic was meant to give the visitor a quick overview over the past and present of this area without a guided tour through the whole museum.
