Zeitreisen

Das Projekt "Zeitreisen" entstand im Fach Interaction/Informationdesign in Kooperation mit dem Richard Wagner Museum in Bayreuth. Ich beschäftigte mich mit der Entwicklung der Reisetransportmittel im Laufe der Zeit, wie zum Beispiel mit der Postkutsche oder der Eisenbahn. Für die Gestaltung meines Projekts arbeitete ich mit alten Koffern und funktionierte diese als Medium und Informationsflächen um. Mithilfe eines RFID-Readers im Inneren des Koffers wird durch das Auflegen einer Karte eine Animation abgespielt. Sie zeigt vergleichend auf, mit welchen Reisegeschwindigkeiten die verschiedenen Verkehrsmittel fuhren und wie die daraus resultierenden Reisezeiten variieren. Die Distanzen bezogen sich auf Richard Wagners Reisen, die er von Bayreuth aus begann. Eine Informationsgrafik zu den Verkehrsmitteln zu Richard Wagners Zeit verbarg sich in einem weiteren Koffer. Während der Ausstellung entwickelte sich eine Umfrage an der Wand, welche die genutzten Verkehrsmittel der Besucher zum Museum erhob. Für den Designblick erarbeitete ich eine weitere Variante, da mir weniger Platz zur Verfügung stand. Dabei wurde ein dritter Koffer mit der Umfrage ausgestattet und somit die Umfrage kleiner skaliert.



The project "Zeitreisen" was planned and developed for an exhibition at the Richard Wagner Museum in Bayreuth. It was based on the development of means of transport over time, such as stagecoaches or the railway. For the design of my project I decided to use old suitcases which worked as mediums and information surfaces. Using an RFDI reader inside one of the cases, an animation starts on the screen as soon as you place a card on the icon which is on the outside of the suitcase. This animation compares different cruising speeds of different means of transport and shows how the resulting travel times vary . The distances of these journeys are based on the different journeys which Wagner took, setting off from Bayreuth. Inside a second suitcase I created an information graphic, which shows more about the means of transport in the 17th and 18th century. During the exhibition, the results of a survey developed and were shown on a wall. The data used for this was data that visitors provided about their transport to the museum. For the "Designblick", I designed the same survey in a third suitcase to save some space.
